This hands-on workshop will look at maximising the outcomes of clinical techniques with composite resin by evaluating a range of materials and techniques customised to individual patient needs.  Techniques demonstrating the effective and efficient use of bonding systems, flowable resins, bulk fill materials, ensuring adequate photopolymerisation, and final finishing and polishing of restorations will all be discussed and undertaken as hands-on exercises.

Topics to be covered include;

• Choosing the correct adhesive system for you and your patients.
• Evaluation of placement techniques in enhancing bond performance, including real-time measurement and analysis of bond strength.
• Comparison and evaluation of your favourite bonding system – is your bonding agent performing as well as it can, and is that good enough?
• Incorporating Bulk Fill materials into your practice, and how there are other advantages to bulk fill materials other than speed of placement.
• Evaluation of curing lights and curing techniques to ensure best possible outcomes.
• Is your light curing unit effective and are you using it correctly?
• Finishing and polishing techniques for anterior and posterior composites. Achieving the expectations of the operator and the patient.
