This is a course that meets the standards of the International Federation of Dental Anaesthesiology Societies.

The first half of the day will be lecture style with the afternoon being practical hands-on.

Dr Greg Mahoney

 

BDSc, GradDipClinDent, MSc(Dent), PhD, FADI, FPFA

Dr Mahoney is the President of ASDA and has a full time private practice dealing with the anxious patient and has been involved in sedation research for the past 14 years.

 

Dr Angelo Preketes

 BDS(Hons)USyd, Grad.Dip.Clin.Dent.(Oral Implants)USyd, Grad.Dip.Clin.Dent.(Conscious Sedation & Pain Control)USyd

Dr Preketes graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney. Between 1998 and 2004 he obtained Graduate Diplomas in Clinical Dentistry at the University of Sydney in the areas of Oral Implants, and Conscious Sedation and Pain Control. He is also qualified as an Advanced Life Support Level 2 provider with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).

Dr Preketes has long been a Clinical Associate in the University of Sydney teaching in both the general dental and sedation departments with Dr Turnbull. He is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Charles Sturt University.

Angelo is Honorary Secretary for ASDA and teaches on the ASDA Relative Analgesia program.

 

Dr Michael Walker

 

BDS, FPFA

Dr Walker is the University of Sydney lecturer for diploma students in Intravenous Sedation. He is the Senior Clinical Associate and external examiner in Intravenous Sedation. Michael is the Past President of ASDA and Examiner for the Conscious Sedation Diploma. He runs one of the largest sedation practices in the Sydney region, where nitrous oxide inhalation sedation forms an integral part of that practice.
