Dr Rod Marshall

Rod graduated with honours in dentistry (University of Queensland) in 1988. He completed his periodontal speciality degree in 1992 and worked as a senior registrar at Westmead Hospital. In 1995 he was appointed lecturer in periodontology at UQ and completed his special stream fellowship in 2000. Appointed senior lecturer in 2001, Rod is a fellow of a number of international academies and has lectured across Australia and internationally. He has held executive positions for the Australian Society of Periodontology, the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, the RACDS and the ANZ Division of the International Association for Dental Research. In addition to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and authoring over 30 papers in the international literature Rod now maintains a full time specialist periodontal practice in Brisbane at BCPI. He holds adjunct senior lecturer and associate professor appointments at UQ and Griffith University.
