Clinical Photography

Clinical Photography
This course is suitable for either the Dentist or the Clinical Team who may assist with record gathering in the clinical setting. This course is often attended by a Dentist with their assistant.

EVENT overview

With the advent of digital technologies, Dental Photography has transformed from a special interest for those wishing to publish articles and text books, to an essential part of modern record keeping. Photographs of the teeth and oral tissues now constitute a normal (and recommended) part of the initial examination process, and are essential in tracking the progress of dental disease and dental treatment.

In this one day workshop, Michael will cover the equipment and instruments required to take professional intra and extra-oral dental photographs as well as photographs of small objects such as indirect restorations and implant components. Michael will discuss in suitable depth, basic photography theory, the programming and use of a 35mm camera and demonstrate how to take various photographs in a clinical setting. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own 35mm camera (if they have one) and they will then have the opportunity to practice taking photographs.

At the end of the program, attendees will be able to program their cameras and take high quality 35mm digital images of dental subjects.

Please note that this course will take place at the Australian Dental Centre of Excellence in Woolloongabba.
